Staff Accountant

• Manage accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices and reconciling payments
• Perform general ledger accounting duties to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain proper record-keeping
• Assist in month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
• Handle corporate tax-related tasks, including sales tax calculations and corporate tax returns
• Maintain and track fixed assets to ensure proper documentation and compliance
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to streamline accounting processes
• Support the implementation of AI tools to automate specific accounting functions
• Monitor accruals and ensure they are accurately recorded
• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and adherence to financial standards

• Proven experience in accounts payable and general ledger accounting
• Familiarity with corporate tax processes, including sales tax and corporate tax returns
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close procedures
• Expertise in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of fixed asset management and accruals
• Ability to analyze financial data and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Experience in a manufacturing industry setting is preferred
