Job Description:

As a Staff Accountant you will be an essential member of the accounting and finance team. This position requires someone with meticulous attention to detail, the highest ethical standards, and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to individuals across various departments. This role requires a solid foundation in U.S. GAAP and a passion for financial operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change, work effectively within cross-functional teams, be highly resourceful and deliver under tight deadlines.

Job Responsibility:

Provide oversight to the accounting and finance operations to ensure that processes are in place to support the day to day running of the business
Performs the monthly quarterly and yearly close of the financial statements using NetSuite
Manage the banking system in-terms of making the relevant invoice payments and control over the daily movements of the cash operations
Ensure relevant internal controls are in place for the accounting and finance operations
Identify process improvements and assist in the implementation of relevant process change, policies and procedures
Have a strong understanding of internal control environment relevant for a financial institution
Have a strong understanding of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP) and research accounting issues
Review the work and supervise the staff accountants
Assist in the audit process

Requirements:

Bachelor (B.A. /B.S.) or master’s in accounting, finance or other related discipline
2-3 years’ experience in accounting and finance operations
Experienced in financial records maintenance and reporting
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism

Nice to have:

Audit or professional tax services experience
CPA licenses or experiences working with the major accounting firms
