Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in managing daily accounting operations and supporting financial activities to ensure accuracy and compliance. Job Responsibility:

Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts to support the company's operations
Prepare journal entries, conduct analyses, and reconcile accounts to assist with monthly closing processes
Perform bookkeeping tasks, including organizing financial documents, receipts, and forms
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy
Manage fixed assets and calculate depreciation as part of regular accounting procedures
Assist with the preparation of sales tax returns, including creating schedules and reconciling data for reporting
Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and implement efficiency initiatives
Collaborate on special accounting projects as assigned to support departmental goals
Ensure compliance with processing and reporting deadlines to maintain operational efficiency

Requirements:

Proven experience working with companies operating across multiple states
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and tax regulations
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the team
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Staff Accountant role
Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting systems
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
