We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Warrenville, Illinois. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organization by managing essential accounting functions and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong organizational skills to handle a variety of accounting tasks effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Prepare accurate financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, on a timely basis
Support month-end and year-end closing processes by completing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Conduct internal audits and collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Assist in the development and analysis of annual budgets and financial forecasts
Maintain precise documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury functions to ensure data accuracy
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
Work closely with team members and stakeholders to address accounting-related inquiries and improve processes
Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations, including preparation of tax returns and sales tax filings
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
At least 1-3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulations
Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and journal entry processes
