Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Canton, Massachusetts. This is a Contract to permanent position within the manufacturing industry, offering a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy in financial records
  • Process and review accounts payable reports, including posting bills and ensuring proper documentation
  • Analyze accounts receivable aging and assist in maintaining collections processes
  • Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger to support daily accounting operations
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with corporate tax requirements, including sales tax and corporate tax returns
  • Utilize NetSuite for accounting tasks and reporting
  • Apply advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to support data analysis
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures while providing support during audits
  • Assist with additional accounting projects as needed to support the organization

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounting roles, particularly in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in NetSuite software for accounting operations and reporting
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions
  • Familiarity with corporate tax processes and sales tax compliance
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Ability to reconcile financial accounts and maintain accurate records
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
