Staff Accountant

• Perform bi-weekly check runs by matching purchase orders to invoices and processing payments
• Maintain accurate records of Section 8 and rent payments, ensuring timely tracking of outstanding payments
• Utilize Excel to manage and update spreadsheets related to expenses and financial data
• Assist in processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis, supporting team members as needed
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger
• Code and process invoices while ensuring proper documentation and compliance
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations
• Generate financial reports and provide insights to support management decisions

• Proven experience in accounting roles, particularly with journal entries and general ledger management
• Proficiency in coding and processing invoices with attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manage complex spreadsheets
• Familiarity with tracking payments and reconciling accounts
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration

Knowledge of payroll processing and related regulations is a plus
