Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in North Dallas, Texas. This role requires a proactive individual with strong accounting expertise to manage key financial processes, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute to enhancing efficiency and accuracy across accounting systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules with precision
  • Oversee the chart of accounts and ensure all transactions comply with established accounting standards
  • Generate and analyze Percentage of Completion and Work in Progress reports with a focus on accuracy and detail
  • Maintain financial consistency across multiple entities and business units
  • Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to ensure proper and consistent expense coding
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting workflows
  • Support the implementation and optimization of 365 Dynamics Business Central across various branches

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in corporate tax, including preparing and managing corporate tax returns
  • Proficiency in handling sales tax-related tasks and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger processes
  • Familiarity with preparing and analyzing financial reports such as Percentage of Completion and Work in Progress
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure financial accuracy across diverse entities
  • Advanced skills in financial systems and tools, including 365 Dynamics Business Central
  • Effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvements
