Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Medley, Florida. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including managing corporate taxes and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in accounting principles.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Manage sales tax filings and submissions accurately and on time
  • Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain precise financial data
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Perform accrual accounting tasks to accurately reflect the company's financial position
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Continuously monitor tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accrual accounting and corporate tax management
  • Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and corporate tax filing
  • Proficiency in recording and reconciling journal entries
  • Familiarity with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
