This hybrid contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax-related activities.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable processes, including handling vendor setup, invoice processing, and conducting AP check runs
Support accounts receivable by drafting invoices for homeowners and collaborating with project managers and sales representatives
Reconcile bank and credit card statements accurately and ensure proper categorization within QuickBooks
Work with external professionals to prepare quarterly tax submissions and manage corporate tax-related tasks
Oversee vendor payments, including uploading necessary documentation and ensuring timely processing
Release funds from insurance companies and handle tasks related to certificates of completion
Maintain general ledger accuracy and perform journal entries as needed
Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and corporate tax filings
Coordinate with project managers to finalize invoices and resolve discrepancies effectively
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on corporate and sales tax
Proficiency in QuickBooks and bill.com for managing financial transactions
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience in preparing and filing corporate tax returns and quarterly tax submissions
Ability to perform accurate journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity
Familiarity with reconciling bank and credit card statements
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills for collaborating with project managers, vendors, and external professionals
