We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Job Responsibility:
Oversee vendor and payables operations, including invoice review, approval routing, payment tracking, and maintaining audit trails
Process and monitor bill payment workflows, ensuring compliance with firm policies and budgets
Manage quarterly state tax payments and maintain accurate records of firm real estate leases, including renewals and amendments
Administer employee expense processes, including issuing corporate cards, processing reimbursements, and ensuring proper general ledger coding
Facilitate firm-level and client billing processes by validating inputs, reconciling data, and ensuring accuracy in financial logs
Enter balance sheet, cash flow, and profit and loss data into pro forma models, performing reconciliations and flagging discrepancies
Support expense forecasting by analyzing historical data and projecting future obligations
Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding logistics, ensuring all accounts, equipment, and documentation are handled efficiently
Organize firm meetings and events, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and vendor coordination
Assist with year-end reporting and preparation of financial data
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax processes
Proficiency in managing corporate tax returns and journal entries
Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliation
Ability to analyze and validate financial data with high attention to detail
Proficient in using financial software and tools for reporting and tracking
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners
Previous experience in vendor management or business operations is preferred
