Staff Accountant

• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations to maintain accurate financial records
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Perform reconciliations for vendor statements and other financial accounts
• Prepare and review commission statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies
• Contribute to the preparation of accruals and assist with cash flow management
• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and record financial transactions efficiently
• Conduct data entry and review to maintain precise financial records
• Support the Director of Finance with ad-hoc tasks and financial analysis as needed
• Collaborate with vendors to address issues and maintain strong attention to detail in relationships
• Assist in creating financial reports and insights using Microsoft Excel and other tools

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for managing financial data
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
• Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
• Experience with journal entries and maintaining general ledger accuracy
• Strong ability to reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Knowledge of Power BI or similar tools is a plus
