Staff Accountant

• Process and manage transactions within the General Ledger module of Microsoft Dynamics GP
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly account reconciliations to ensure data integrity
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities for timely financial reporting
• Review trial balances and resolve discrepancies to ensure ledger accuracy
• Maintain the chart of accounts and provide ongoing support for ledger updates
• Prepare detailed schedules and reports to assist with financial analysis
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other finance team members to streamline processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and established accounting procedures
• Assist with audit preparation by providing documentation and responding to requests

• Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, specifically the General Ledger module
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting roles such as Staff Accountant or GL Accountant
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday in Torrance, California
• Strong communication skills and a reliable work ethic

Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing tax returns is an advantage
