Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Northern, Kentucky. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic industry environment while enhancing your accounting expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Responsibility:

  • Reconcile revenue and expenses, ensuring accurate data export into cloud-based ERP system
  • Generate daily management reports by consolidating information from various data sources
  • Perform job costing and reconcile project-related transactions, including purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
  • Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records through invoice creation and customer statement reconciliation
  • Input financial data into ERP system and other accounting software systems with precision
  • Balance accounts receivable and accounts payable subledgers with the general ledger
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and team members to resolve discrepancies and provide support
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and contribute to the annual audit process
  • Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed
  • Handle special projects and assignments as directed to support business objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on detail is preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP system is highly advantageous
  • Proficiency in job costing methodologies is a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software are essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities are required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for success

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP system is highly advantageous
  • Proficiency in job costing methodologies is a plus
