Job Description:

Robert Half is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) program—our internal bench of salaried accounting professionals who support clients across the Louisville metro area on a project basis. This is a full-time internal role with Robert Half. You’ll be deployed on-site with leading companies to support general accounting functions, clean up processes, and provide coverage during transitions or peak workloads. Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end close tasks, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting
Support AR/AP, fixed assets, and general ledger maintenance
Help with audits, clean-up projects, and process improvements
Work in various ERP systems across different client environments
Use Excel for data entry, reconciliations, and financial analysis (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance - Or equivalent experience
2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or public setting
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or QuickBooks
Ability to quickly adapt to new teams, systems, and workflows
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

CPA or CPA track a plus, but not required
