Job Description:

Detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Shreveport, Louisiana. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in accounting within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial processes and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting functions.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review sales tax filings and ensure compliance with regulations
Manage corporate tax returns, including documentation and submission
Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring all transactions are properly accounted for
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
Operate accounting software such as QuickBooks and NetSuite to manage financial data
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency

Requirements:

Proven experience in sales tax preparation and compliance
Familiarity with corporate tax return processes and requirements
Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and NetSuite
Ability to perform detailed account analysis and reconcile discrepancies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
