Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the healthcare and social assistance industry. The role will initially require in-office presence for training and will transition to a hybrid schedule once fully trained.

Job Responsibility:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
Assist with general ledger maintenance, including journal entries and account adjustments
Support month-end close activities to ensure financial statements are completed on time
Utilize Great Plains and Salesforce for financial data entry and reporting, with training provided as needed
Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and improve financial workflows
Prepare financial reports and documentation for internal and external review
Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or actively pursuing one
1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with general ledger processes and journal entries
Experience with or willingness to learn Great Plains and Salesforce
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Successful completion of background and drug screenings prior to start
