Requirements

Proven experience in staff accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement support processes
Hands-on experience with fixed asset accounting, fixed asset ledgers, and related record maintenance
Familiarity with construction accounting concepts, including work in progress tracking, is preferred

Job Responsibility

Record and post journal entries with clear supporting documentation to maintain accurate financial records
Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
Examine accounting entries and account reconciliations for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards
Prepare variance analyses and summarize key financial trends and drivers for monthly reporting
Act as a key resource for finance systems by maintaining data integrity, coordinating testing efforts, and assisting users with system-related questions
Support forecasting and budgeting activities for assigned areas by compiling data and updating financial projections
Provide audit support by gathering requested schedules, documentation, and explanations for external auditors
Recommend enhancements to accounting workflows and procedures to improve efficiency, consistency, and control
Assist with special projects and additional accounting assignments as business needs arise
