Job Description:

Join a leading manufacturing company in Marietta seeking a results-driven Staff Accountant for a contract assignment. In this hands-on role, you’ll support day-to-day accounting operations and help drive accurate financial reporting during a dynamic period for our organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with analysis of costs, inventory, and manufacturing variances
  • Perform account and bank reconciliations
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Help prepare financial statements and schedules
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding accounting issues
  • Assist with audit documentation and respond to requests
  • Identify and support process improvements as assigned
  • Adhere to company procedures and policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • manufacturing sector experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Strong attention to detail with problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work independently to meet tight deadlines
  • Effective communication and collaborative skills

Nice to have:

CPA/certification a plus
