Located in our Siloam Springs, AR plant, you will be a Staff Accountant. Our Staff Accountant is a hands-on financial leader who partners with plant and business leadership to drive accurate, timely financial reporting and operational performance. This role leads and develops accounting staff, oversees core functions including payroll, accounts payable, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and month-end close, and ensures strong financial discipline across the organization. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in delivering accurate insights, supporting decision-making, and driving accountability while consistently meeting corporate standards and expectations.
Job Responsibility
Review labor, statistical, and financial data to support budgeting and forecasting
provide insights to the Controller
Oversee timecard collection and ensure accurate payroll processing
Analyze production costs across value streams to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Supervise fixed asset tracking and capital project management through capitalization
Review and analyze spend accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Prepare, review, and finalize financial results on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Support development of annual budgets and related schedules as directed by the Controller
Perform variance analysis to identify drivers and recommend corrective actions
Maintain, review, and reconcile data within Oracle systems
Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards
Lead general ledger account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
Ensure compliance with corporate financial controls and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements
Participate in internal testing and audit activities to support compliance and risk management
Support external audits by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancing standard work and improving transactional processes
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a global manufacturing environment
Cost accounting experience preferred, with strong knowledge across general accounting functions
Familiarity with intercompany accounting and international accounting practices is a plus
Experience with financial systems and general ledger platforms (e.g., Oracle)
Working knowledge of SOX controls and audit processes
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver meaningful insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
