Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Bentonville, Arkansas. This position offers a long-term contract opportunity within the dynamic retail industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting various accounting operations.

Job Responsibility:

Record and review monthly accounting entries, analyze general ledger accounts, and perform reconciliations, including calculations for deferred revenue
Compile lot income statements and assist in preparing financial reports
Ensure the completion of end-of-month checklists and related work papers
Provide backup support to the General Ledger Manager as needed
Offer assistance to various operational teams within the organization
Manage the Bank of America online p-card program and Visa Prepaid program
Support the filing of personal property taxes and prepare estimated tax payments along with necessary documentation
Conduct month-end expense reviews and analyze surplus or deficiencies on repossessed items
Complete special projects assigned by the Controller, General Ledger Manager, or Principal Accounting Officer

Requirements:

Proficiency in tax-related processes, including sales and use tax
Strong knowledge of journal entries and general accounting principles
Experience with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
Ability to perform detailed financial reconciliations accurately
Familiarity with accounting software and tools used for financial management
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
