Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support ongoing accounting operations in Lebanon, Ohio. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity with a part-time schedule of three days per week, offering flexibility in workdays and hours. The position focuses on strengthening financial records, completing overdue reconciliations, and maintaining accurate reporting across a high volume of fund and investment accounts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities related to foundation and fund accounts
  • Review and complete account reconciliations, including resolving outstanding items from prior years
  • Oversee the close process across quarterly and annual reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate financial results
  • Reconcile approximately 40 investment accounts and monitor related account activity
  • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger for a wide range of financial transactions
  • Prepare fund-level financial reports and support the accuracy of financial statements
  • Handle accounting activity across as many as 200 accounts, ensuring proper organization and documentation
  • Maintain transactional account records and assist with ongoing administrative accounting support

Requirements:

  • Experience in staff accounting, bookkeeping, or general ledger support
  • Strong background in preparing and posting journal entries
  • Ability to perform detailed reconciliations across multiple accounts with a high degree of accuracy
  • Familiarity with quarterly and annual close processes
  • Knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return concepts
  • Proficiency in producing financial reports and supporting fund or account-based reporting
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of accounts effectively
