Job Description:

Seeking a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire role who will manage day-to-day operations in AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close, while contributing to analytical projects across two business units.

Job Responsibility:

Manage day-to-day AP and AR functions with minimal supervision
Post journal entries for payroll and other accruals, reconciling to maintain financial accuracy
Lead and assist in the month-end close process, preparing financial statements for review
Perform reconciliations for (2) bank accounts
Help compile and present financial statements for two business entities

Requirements:

No degree required
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups) for reporting and analysis
Strong aptitude for AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
Previous accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is highly desirable
Capable of creating reports based on payroll entries and various financial components
Dependable with the ability to work independently and efficiently
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
