Job Description:

Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a fun and fast paced client company on a contract-to-permanent basis in Reno, Nevada. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your accounting expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring smooth operations across various accounting functions.

Job Responsibility:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded
Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting
Assist with month-end close activities to ensure timely financial statement preparation
Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Provide support for audits and financial reviews as needed
Collaborate with team members to improve accounting workflows and procedures

Requirements:

At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and journal entries
Experience with month-end close processes
Familiarity with cost related accounting procedures and inventory accounting
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment
