We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, Massachusetts. In this role, you will contribute to various accounting and financial tasks while collaborating closely with internal departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse areas, including human resources, receivables, inventory management, and job costing.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger updates
Manage corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
Oversee sales tax processes and reporting to guarantee timely submissions
Conduct analysis and reconciliation of accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
Support inventory management by tracking costs and ensuring proper documentation
Collaborate with the human resources team to assist with payroll and employee-related financial matters
Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and monitoring payments
Participate in job costing activities to ensure accurate allocation of expenses
Provide financial insights and reports to assist in decision-making processes
Work closely with auditors during reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filing
Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance
Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts
Familiarity with inventory tracking and job costing procedures
Ability to reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies efficiently
