Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist to provide comprehensive support across our payroll, finance, and accounting functions. This role plays a critical part in daily operations and reporting, ensuring our financial processes remain accurate and efficient during a key transition period.

Job Responsibility:

Process payroll and manage associated payroll procedures to ensure timely and accurate compensation
Manage certificate of insurance requests for both internal and external stakeholders
Support 401k plan administration, assisting with employee inquiries and employer processes
Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing procedures
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Complete daily and monthly sales and operational reporting to support business needs
Perform complex account reconciliations
proactively identify and resolve discrepancies
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and preparing analyses
Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Support internal and external audit processes with required documentation and follow-up
Identify and lead implementation of process improvements within accounting operations
Participate in collection activities, including outreach and follow-up
Oversee electronic invoicing to ensure accurate and timely billing

Requirements:

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment
Demonstrated ability to use ERP systems as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting
Capable of exercising independent judgment and safeguarding confidential information
Willingness and ability to make timely decisions using sound and accurate judgment
