Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable to join our team in Carson, California. As part of a growing retail organization specializing in direct-to-consumer and wholesale operations, this Contract to permanent position offers excellent stability and opportunities for growth. The role involves handling critical accounting functions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable processes, including aging reports, collections, and cash applications
Monitor AR aging to ensure timely collections and mitigate financial risks
Oversee sales tax processes across ecommerce and wholesale channels, ensuring accurate application and tracking
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data
Process daily financial transactions and maintain organized, up-to-date records
Assist in month-end close activities to ensure timely reporting and compliance
Provide accounting support across departments, demonstrating a flexible and team-oriented approach

Requirements:

Proficiency in NetSuite and Shopify is required
Experience in ecommerce or retail accounting is highly preferred
Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable processes, including collections and sales tax
Strong skills in managing corporate taxes, journal entries, and general ledger activities
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities
Effective communication skills, particularly in collections management requiring attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing environment with a commitment to long-term stability
