Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our busy CPA firm. This role focuses on monthly bookkeeping, payroll, quarterly payroll reports, gross receipts taxes, and supporting senior accountants with tasks like financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, general ledger management, and tax filings for individuals and businesses. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of GAAP, strong analytical skills, and is proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms. Salary range is $58k to $65k, with excellent opportunities for growth in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Job Responsibility:

Monthly bookkeeping
Payroll
Quarterly payroll reports
Gross receipts taxes
Supporting senior accountants with tasks like financial statement preparation
Account reconciliations
General ledger management
Tax filings for individuals and businesses

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail and accuracy
Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries
Experience with month-end close procedures and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Solid understanding of tax filing processes and compliance requirements
