Staff Accountant

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
• Manage and reconcile sales tax filings for multiple jurisdictions
• Record and maintain journal entries to support accurate financial reporting
• Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and balanced
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and adjustments
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline accounting processes
• Conduct periodic audits to verify the accuracy of financial data and adherence to company policies
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance
• Provide support during financial reviews and external audits

• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filing
• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting requirements
• Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger tasks
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

Any experience with Epicor would be a plus
