Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team at an exclusive, members-only country club. This role supports the full cycle accounting function with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative, service-oriented environment and takes pride in producing precise and timely financial information.

Job Responsibility:

Perform full cycle accounting, including daily transactional posting, account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger
Execute month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to timelines
Prepare ad hoc financial reports for leadership, department heads, and board committees
Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, streamline workflows, and enhance financial controls
Assist with annual audits and other regulatory or compliance-related tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the club (operations, F& B, events, etc.) to ensure accurate financial reporting and support decision-making
Maintain organized financial records and ensure adherence to internal policies and best practices

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of full cycle accounting experience, including hands-on month-end close responsibilities
Strong understanding of GAAP principles
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
Proven experience improving or optimizing accounting processes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a supportive team environment
Professionalism, confidentiality, and a high level of integrity
