Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Naperville, Illinois. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in accounting and financial operations. You will play a key role in managing core accounting processes and contributing to the successful implementation of integrated accounting systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design, implement, and refine integrated accounting systems within company software
  • Assist in migrating financial data and workflows from QuickBooks Online into the new system
  • Develop and maintain workflows, controls, and accounting logic to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Conduct testing, validation, and provide ongoing improvements to the accounting system
  • Document processes and share feedback to enhance system usability and reliability
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting schedules
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
  • Provide support for financial reporting and perform ad hoc analysis as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
  • At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience in SaaS or software-based organizations is preferred
  • Familiarity with migrating accounting systems or implementing new financial platforms is strongly desired
  • Prior experience auditing or supporting newly implemented accounting software is advantageous
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and best practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience in SaaS or software-based organizations is preferred
  • Familiarity with migrating accounting systems or implementing new financial platforms is strongly desired
