Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in St Louis Earnings Tx, Missouri. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with tax and accounting regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations and collaborate with a team of professionals.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with regulations
Handle sales tax filings and related documentation accurately and on time
Record journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
Assist in preparing financial reports to support decision-making and planning
Ensure compliance with financial standards and tax laws in all accounting processes
Provide support during audits by gathering and organizing necessary documentation
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions
Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement

Requirements:

Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance
Strong knowledge of sales tax processes and regulations
Proficiency in managing corporate tax returns and related documentation
Expertise in recording journal entries and maintaining general ledgers
Familiarity with accounting software and tools
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
