Job Description:

Shantel Poole with Robert half client is in the market for a Staff Accountant to join their team in the construction/contractor industry. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks, such as managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure accurate and timely payments
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure all payments are received and properly recorded
Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process
Utilize software systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP in performing accounting duties

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant in the Construction/Contractor industry
Strong knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
Demonstrated skills in managing the General Ledger
Capable of preparing accurate Journal Entries
Experience in performing Month End Close activities
Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
Familiarity with Oracle financial software
Experience with QuickBooks will be considered advantageous
Knowledge of SAP financial software will be a plus
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Nice to have:

Experience with QuickBooks
Knowledge of SAP financial software
