Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Neenah, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting key accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and sales tax compliance. The ideal candidate will bring accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining financial integrity.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform verification, allocation, posting, and reconciliation of accounts payable
  • Assist in recording monthly sales transactions and entries
  • Prepare accurate and error-free accounting reports to support financial decision-making
  • Post journal entries to the general ledger and maintain accurate records
  • Identify discrepancies and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and assist in preparing related filings
  • Monitor and manage fixed asset tracking and reporting
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely completion
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain comprehensive tracking of prepaid expenses and other financial items

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Staff Accountant, with a minimum of 3 years in the field
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and procedures
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements and reporting standards
  • Proficiency in general ledger activities and month-end/year-end closing processes
  • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct software is highly desirable
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field—Associate's or Bachelor's preferred
