Job Description:

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Asheboro, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals skilled in accounting and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate should have expertise in financial management processes and a strong background in QuickBooks Online and accounts payable.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain and update financial records efficiently
  • Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate tracking of financial transactions
  • Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and sales tax documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze financial data and support decision-making processes
  • Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulations
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Perform audits and reviews to verify the accuracy of financial information
  • Address and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, with demonstrated experience in managing accounts payable
  • Strong understanding of corporate tax returns and sales tax processes
  • Experience in preparing and recording journal entries accurately
  • Familiarity with maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address financial challenges
