Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate entries and timely reconciliations
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure financial statements are complete and accurate
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, analyzing variances and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Coordinate with auditors to facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate financial reviews
  • Manage corporate tax filings, including sales tax and corporate tax returns
  • Review and improve financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Support cost accounting activities and provide insights into manufacturing financial operations
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic business planning
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial inquiries and provide actionable recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with general ledger and journal entry processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively across departments.
