Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Job Responsibility:

Maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate entries and timely reconciliations
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure financial statements are complete and accurate
Prepare detailed financial reports, analyzing variances and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
Coordinate with auditors to facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate financial reviews
Manage corporate tax filings, including sales tax and corporate tax returns
Review and improve financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Support cost accounting activities and provide insights into manufacturing financial operations
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic business planning
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial inquiries and provide actionable recommendations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Familiarity with general ledger and journal entry processes
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively across departments.
