Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations in Austin, Texas. This position is ideal for someone with strong experience in accounts payable, general ledger activity, and high-volume reconciliations across banking and balance sheet accounts. The right candidate will bring hands-on expertise with NetSuite and Bill.com while helping maintain accurate financial records and efficient month-end processes.

Job Responsibility:

Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and ensuring timely and accurate processing through Bill.com
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain complete and accurate general ledger records
Perform detailed bank account reconciliations, including use of NetSuite bank matching tools to investigate and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis and follow through on outstanding reconciling items
Support month-end close by verifying account activity, validating supporting documentation, and maintaining accounting accuracy
Monitor financial transactions for completeness and consistency, escalating issues that may affect reporting integrity
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information needed for reconciliations, payment processing, and account analysis

Requirements:

Proven experience in a Staff Accountant or accounts payable-focused accounting role
Strong working knowledge of NetSuite, including bank reconciliation and matching functionality
Hands-on experience using Bill.com for invoice and payment processing
Solid understanding of journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliation principles
Demonstrated ability to complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in identifying discrepancies, researching variances, and resolving accounting issues efficiently
