Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in West Memphis, Arkansas. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and maintaining fixed asset records. Job Responsibility:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with company policies
perform month-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and updated
reconcile control accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial data
create and post journal entries to support the accounting cycle
develop analytical reports that provide insights into financial performance
manage and maintain fixed asset records, including tracking and depreciation calculations
process weekly general ledger postings for payroll with precision
investigate and troubleshoot accounting issues to ensure smooth operations
reconcile sales taxes, purchase clearing, and freight accounts to ensure compliance
audit production entries to verify accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
experience with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries
demonstrated expertise in month-end closing procedures
familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
ability to analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies effectively
solid understanding of financial reporting and controls
strong organizational skills and attention to detail
