Staff Accountant

• Perform thorough monthly reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintain comprehensive records for endowment and designated funds, including tracking investment activity such as income, gains/losses, fees, and asset allocations
• Prepare journal entries, allocations, and adjustments in the financial management system
• Handle accounting and reporting duties related to auxiliary activities, publications, and exhibitions
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Support the preparation of detailed financial reports for funders, board members, and management
• Contribute to debt compliance reporting and ensure timely submission of required documents
• Prepare regulatory filings such as Form 990 and other compliance documentation
• Generate cash flow analyses, projections, and other business data reports as needed

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education
• 3+ years of experience
• Not Profit experience
• Extensive experience working in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge or Netsuite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
