Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in American Fork, Utah. This is a Contract to permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development within the accounting field. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial processes and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
  • Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial data effectively
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements
  • Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for
  • Generate and analyze reports using Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas for data analysis
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Identify discrepancies in financial records and resolve them promptly
  • Support audits by providing accurate documentation and detailed explanations of financial activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledgers
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Strong understanding of month-end close processes and financial reporting
  • Ability to analyze financial data and generate insightful reports
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities in a team environment
