Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a services organization in Dallas, Texas. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash activity, and preparing timely accounting documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in QuickBooks Enterprise and brings a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and tax-related processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee daily cash activity and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing funds to support effective cash management
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc cash reports that provide clear visibility into balances, transactions, and financial activity
  • Record journal entries with accuracy and proper supporting documentation to ensure reliable financial reporting
  • Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts on a regular basis, researching and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain the integrity of accounting data within QuickBooks Enterprise and assist with routine month-end close activities
  • Support corporate tax and sales tax processes by organizing financial information and contributing to filing preparation
  • Review accounting transactions for completeness and consistency with internal policies and established accounting standards

Requirements

  • Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role within a business environment that values attention to detail
  • Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise for day-to-day accounting activities
  • Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  • Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return support activities
  • Ability to manage cash reporting responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve accounting variances
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to organize priorities in a deadline-driven setting
