We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Pasadena, California. In this role, you will provide crucial accounting support during a contract coverage period, ensuring smooth operations in daily financial tasks and reporting. This position is ideal for someone who excels in general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and possesses strong organizational skills.
Job Responsibility:
Record and maintain journal entries in the general ledger accurately
Perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Assist with month-end accounting tasks, including closing processes
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, formatting, and analysis to support accounting operations
Manage inventory accounting using specialized inventory management software
Process transactions and generate reports within Sage 100 accounting software
Provide administrative support to the accounting team, ensuring smooth workflows
Verify and maintain the accuracy and completeness of financial records
Requirements:
2–5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting processes
Proven experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and formatting
Familiarity with Sage 100 accounting software is highly preferred
Experience with inventory management software is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Availability to start immediately and commit to a three-week contract period
