Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Malden, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage various accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations and financial reporting standards. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
Manage sales tax filings and resolve related discrepancies
Record and maintain journal entries to support accurate financial reporting
Handle general ledger account reconciliations to maintain data integrity
Utilize Abila MIP software to manage accounting processes and generate reports
Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures to finalize financial statements
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless accounting operations
Analyze financial data to provide insights and support decision-making
Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards to ensure best practices

Requirements:

Proven experience with corporate tax and sales tax processes
Strong knowledge of corporate tax return preparation and compliance
Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger accounts
Hands-on experience with Abila MIP accounting software
Solid understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation procedures
Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
