Job Description:

A growing commercial construction firm is hiring a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative, tight‑knit finance team in Colorado Springs. This organization operates as a construction company supporting projects across multiple states. With over 20 years in business, they’ve evolved beyond traditional construction services and continue to invest in innovation, process improvement, and technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and post journal entries for month‑end close
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity
  • Assist with A/P, A/R, and daily transactional accounting
  • Support project accounting teams as needed
  • Help ensure data accuracy and support internal controls
  • Collaborate with office and project staff to resolve discrepancies

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of accounting experience
  • General understanding of construction accounting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel and standard accounting practices

Nice to have:

  • Job costing or construction billing experience
  • Exposure to multi‑entity accounting
