Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing financial processes for multiple small businesses, including both for-profit and non-profit entities. The ideal candidate will excel in reconciliation tasks and possess expertise in corporate tax, general ledger management, and accounts payable.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate account balances
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including timely payment of bills
  • Handle financial operations for 5-6 small clients, including tax and ledger responsibilities
  • Oversee reconciliation tasks to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
  • Maintain general ledger entries and ensure alignment with corporate accounting standards
  • Process corporate tax returns and sales tax filings as required
  • Collaborate with clinic teams to support financial needs across seven locations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations for both for-profit and non-profit entities
  • Provide accurate journal entries to support monthly and annual financial reporting

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filings
  • Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance
  • Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and journal entries
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and reconciliation tasks
  • Ability to handle financial operations for multiple small businesses
  • Experience working with both for-profit and non-profit organizations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools
