Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Liguori, Missouri. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization and work closely with the current accounting specialist during a transition period. The role is ideal for an adaptable individual with a broad accounting background who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee journal entries and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting
  • Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of financial statements
  • Handle accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and analyze spreadsheets, including advanced functions like Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and maintain operational efficiency
  • Assist in preparing detailed financial reports and maintaining comprehensive financial records
  • Support the transition of accounting duties by working closely with the outgoing specialist and adapting to new processes
  • Communicate effectively with team members to address accounting inquiries and resolve issues
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment that aligns with company standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to full-cycle accounting processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and software
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements and maintain accurate financial records
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a small team
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and readiness to learn new processes quickly
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
