Job Description:

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our financial operations by ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, analyzing financial data, and collaborating across departments. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of various projects and initiatives while enhancing operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement projects aimed at optimizing operational systems and enhancing company processes
  • Provide logistical and operational support for multiple office locations
  • Coordinate and oversee projects that facilitate the smooth functioning of office operations
  • Maintain and refine office systems and procedures, ensuring effective communication of updates across the organization
  • Analyze data to identify issues and propose actionable solutions to improve efficiency
  • Plan and organize company meetings and events, ensuring seamless execution
  • Act as a liaison for staff and project managers to communicate corporate information effectively
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives related to recruitment and development
  • Manage project billing and ensure financial accuracy in construction-related accounting
  • Conduct detailed financial analyses, including ad hoc and complex scenarios, to support decision-making

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in managing sales tax and corporate tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger processes
  • Experience with ad hoc and complex financial analysis
  • Ability to analyze financial trends and provide actionable insights
  • Familiarity with accounting for construction projects and managing project plans
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset
  • Positive attitude and a team-oriented approach to problem-solving
