Job Responsibility
Maintain accurate and complete accounting records by recording daily financial transactions and monitoring revenue, expenses, and trust account activity
Perform bank, brokerage, and credit card reconciliations while researching and resolving discrepancies
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supporting schedules for client review
Assist with cash management activities, outgoing payments, and payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate disbursements
Prepare journal entries, adjusting entries, and supporting documentation for general ledger activity
Compile tax schedules, financial packages, and supporting documents for external accountants and auditors
Track account activity and maintain detailed records to support financial reporting and compliance requirements
Collaborate with business management professionals and corporate accounting teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within public accounting, business management, entertainment, family office, or professional services environments
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably within a firm environment or business management setting
Hands-on experience with general ledger activity, journal entries, and adjusting entries
Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage and strong Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to reconcile multiple account types with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication skills and a detail-focused approach to handling confidential financial information
