We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in LaVergne, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting processes for multiple units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Job Responsibility:
Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned units, serving as the primary accountant for each
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely submission by the 15th of each month
Perform bank reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis to maintain accurate financial records
Support audits by providing required documentation and addressing inquiries
Conduct sales tax reporting and manage fixed assets
Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with senior accountants for escalations and technical guidance
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards
Utilize intermediate Excel skills to process and analyze financial data efficiently
Maintain a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and improving processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
Proficiency in intermediate Excel functions
Strong understanding of GAAP standards and accounting principles
Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
