We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting organizational budgeting efforts. Job Responsibility:
Develop and oversee organizational budgets in collaboration with leadership teams and the Board of Directors
Administer and monitor operating budgets to ensure effective allocation of resources
Maintain accurate financial records, including the general ledger and journal entries
Prepare and distribute financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as not-for-profit guidelines
Manage corporate tax filings, including corporate tax returns and sales tax submissions
Evaluate and optimize cash flow processes to support ongoing operations
Perform regular financial analyses to identify trends and support decision-making
Monitor and reconcile accounts to maintain financial accuracy
Support audits and reporting requirements as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or not-for-profit settings
Proficiency in managing corporate tax filings, including sales tax and corporate tax returns
Strong knowledge of general ledger and journal entry processes
Experience in preparing financial reports and maintaining financial records
Familiarity with local, state, and federal compliance regulations
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership teams and external parties
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
