Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting organizational budgeting efforts. Job Responsibility

  • Develop and oversee organizational budgets in collaboration with leadership teams and the Board of Directors
  • Administer and monitor operating budgets to ensure effective allocation of resources
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including the general ledger and journal entries
  • Prepare and distribute financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as not-for-profit guidelines
  • Manage corporate tax filings, including corporate tax returns and sales tax submissions
  • Evaluate and optimize cash flow processes to support ongoing operations
  • Perform regular financial analyses to identify trends and support decision-making
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts to maintain financial accuracy
  • Support audits and reporting requirements as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or not-for-profit settings
  • Proficiency in managing corporate tax filings, including sales tax and corporate tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger and journal entry processes
  • Experience in preparing financial reports and maintaining financial records
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal compliance regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership teams and external parties
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
