Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Full Time Engagement Professional (FTEP) team. This is a full-time, salaried role with comprehensive benefits, overtime eligibility, and bonus potential. In this position, you’ll work on medium- to long-term accounting engagements across a variety of industries and environments. You’ll gain exposure to new systems and processes while making an immediate impact for our clients. Between assignments, you remain a paid Robert Half employee while continuing professional development.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Analyze financial statements for management reporting
Maintain fixed assets, depreciation, and capital leases
Support SOX and GAAP compliance
Handle intercompany transactions and ad hoc projects
Work on medium- to long-term accounting engagements across a variety of industries and environments
Gain exposure to new systems and processes while making an immediate impact for clients
Work on engagements that may include: System conversions
Account reconciliations
Mergers & acquisitions
Audit support
Leave coverage and staff reductions
Peak workload support
Requirements:
3+ years of accounting experience
Strong Excel skills and ERP experience
Ability to adapt in fast-paced, changing environments
Desire to learn and grow across industries
A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and detail
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software systems
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reporting
Ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Commitment to continuous learning and growth
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
